Donna Perugini said... Hi, Claire! This all came up and was legal under the Prevention of Terrorism act? Isn't it amazing how much clout social networking has? If the father had not posted about his ordeal, the Facebook world would have never taken note and the shopping center would still have their signs up. This is one of those 'silliness' rules that went overboard. If the security guard had not enforced the shopping center's rule, he might have lost his job. If the police had not been called and arrived they would been deemed irresponsible and held accountable (especially if the man had been a pedophile or child kidnapper).
The world will probably keep adding more rules and laws to feel safe. When those rules and laws are ridiculous, we need to let them hear our voice. Very interesting posting, Claire!
