About Me

I am a fortysomething first time mum or 'Mammy' as we say here in Ireland. I am on a career break to focus on caring for my son and my mother. Any spare time I get, I blog, petsit and practice yoga. I started this blog as a way to connect with other more mature first time mums. In fact,I have come to know mothers of all ages and it's a wonderful experience. I blog when I can, where I can and for as long as I can between caring duties! Motherhood,writing and yoga in my forties have stopped me from being dragged kicking and screaming into midlife. Instead, I am learning to go with the flow, allow and accept. I hope you will allow and accept me too. And certainly don't leave my blogs kicking and screaming in pain! I would love people to read and comment too. It really is a whole change of life for me as I hurtle towards same!
